Vpriv-A positive step in my treatment
Suffering from Gaucher Disease has been really difficult. The enzyme glucocerebrosidase does not exists in my body and the fatty substance glucocerebroside builds up dramatically. It gets into my tissues, organs and bones and the symptoms of that are terrible. My spleen and liver were bigger than it should have been and I developed chronic Anemia which mean the pain I felt was out of this world. I was constantly sick beacuase of low blood platelet counts and my doctor said I constantly needed x-rays to monitor my bones. To say Gaucher has been terrible for me is an understatement. I was a little afraid to start taking Vpriv, but hen I did it I wasnt sorry. They make the medication out of human cells so it didnt take long to have a positive effect on my body. Within a few weeks, it jump started the enzyme to do its job again. My liver and spleen went down to its normal size which made regulating my Anemia so much better. I dont have nearly as much pain as I used to. I highly recommend speaking with your doctor about using Vpiv to help you recover.
