Couldn’t Live Without It
I am a long-time user of Premarin. I had to start taking this medication after I had a hysterectomy. For the past thirty years, I have been taking Premarin to stop from having terrible mood swings and hot flashes. If I miss doses of Premarin, the mood swings and hot flashes return. I absolutely need this medication. It is a real blessing to be able to take this and live my life as I want to without those bothersome symptoms. I haven’t had any side effects. I’m very satisfied with my experiences with this medication.

Necessary Medication
My insurance has stopped covering Premarin. I have gone without Premarin before, and all the hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings return as soon as I’m off Premarin. I could not deal with having those symptoms all the time. I researched how I might be able to continue to afford to take Premarin. I have worked out that I can get assistance from AARP to make it more affordable. I am so glad that I can keep taking this medication.I wouldn’t want to try the suggested alternatives to Premarin due to the severity of the side effects of those medications.

America doesn’t do much of anything anymore for it’s consumers, I call the help line for my cell phone and get someone who doesn’t speak English, I can’t understand them so I hang up and hope to reach someone who’s got a handle on English, took me eight tries to find a Pakistani who speaks well enough for me to understand them. I don’t consider that good customer service and you can’t blame the Pakistani he’s just doing his job for his family, you need to blame our government and the companies that outsource their business.
I been taking premarin for many years and could afford it. Now I can’t continue since my insurance has changed and now it cost $86.00 for 30 pills. How do you expect people pay that much money? It’s out of control the price of medicine today. It’s sinful. Do you have any suggestion how I can afford to continue to take your product? I agree Joan, I was just told I will have to pay $290 for a 90 day supply. I have no idea how we can afford it. Two years ago we only had to make copay payments..now we pay for insurance and a $5000 deductible and can’t afford to go to the Dr or medications that are needed..How is this happening to people who have small business and WORK everyday! Mine told me I would have to pay 260 for the cream, I can’t afford that. My dr. told me I had to use it because I am in atrophy because I had a hysterectomy at 35. I even had the dr. fax a form to my insurance saying It was imperative I use this medicine to try to get my copay reduced and they denied me told me if I took the higher insurance bracket and pay more premiums it would cost less. but not really once you add what my premiums will go up..
I’m a waitress at a Cracker Barrel and my rent is 400 a month, now they’re telling me my meds are 350 a month, I don’t have insurance how am I going to pay for that? How can meds cost as much as your rent? It’s ridiculous, I heard churches will kick in and pay the difference but not every month, after this month then what?

I have been paying over 400.00 dollars for 3month supply, insurance pay 5.00 dollars, this has been since I retired 5 years ago. its very difficult to pay that. I don’t know if there is a generic for Premarin yet.
Currently, no generic Premarin available in the United States.
