Gastroesophageal reflux diet

Reduce each meal appetite and fat intake, avoid eating chocolate, sour, sweet food, and so on. These foods can reduce lower esophageal sphincter resting pressure and gastric swelling, thereby increasing the frequency of reflux.

Diet should be based on high protein, high fiber, low fat, as do frequent small meals better. Smoking and excessive drinking can reduce the lower esophageal sphincter pressure, decreased esophageal acid clearance, extend the time of esophageal mucosal exposure to acidic environments, but also directly affects the function of epithelial cells. Smoking not only increases the gastroesophageal reflux, pyloric sphincter dysfunction and 12 also refers to gastrointestinal reflux, increase the concentration of bile and lysophosphatidylcholine, which hinder the healing of esophagitis, not smoking and drinking in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease.

I just got my first prescription of Dexilant and it cost me $85 with my Medicare part D prescription coverage. Is there a coupon that will help me?

  4. Randy Cumpston says

I was getting the discount which made my cost $20 per month from July 2011 til the beginning of 2013, then the pharmacy tech kept telling me the discount was no longer valid and was asking me to pay $170 and up which I could not afford, so I stopped getting my meds which escalated my reflux attacks and made them more severe and more frequent each day. Now I have returned to the doctor asking for help and they phoned in a prescription … now the pharmacy wants $183 for my prescription (again which I cannot afford) running out of options , can you please help me?

It appears that there is no discount card or coupon that is available once a person goes on Part D coverage.

I had the card before I went on Part D and it worked great but now I have to pay $95 per month for my Dexalant prescription.

Is there any programs available for Part D enrollees other than being in a low income group?

  7. Sandra Porter says

I have been on Nexium for several years and my doctor now says that I should be using Dexilan. We took the prescription to CVS and when picking it up the cost was $174.25 for 30 days. The reason that it was so ‘affordable’ was that I have Medicare D. If I hadn’t had that ‘affordable option’ it would have cost me $219.00. When looking online I see that there are cupons available that can be used at a cost of $20.00. Since Medicare D cancels all deals it appears that the only options are to be uninsured or to be an illegal alien. Is this true or have I missed something? Your response would be greatly appreciated.

  11. Diana says

I have Aetna Medicare Insurance. This is a non-formulary drug under my plan. I have to pay $70 copay for 30 days. My pharmacist tried using coupons which state are not valid bec this is considered a medicare plan. Are their income guideline to apply for the medicine from your company by my physician? I am in a low income category. Also do you have any coupon options for me.

  12. Linda Croke says

My husband has been taking Dexilant for the past 2 years, at first the cost was 20 dollars a month, then we had to start paying 104.00. This year we have paid 189.00 for a months supply. Finally, after insuring that they were entering the Dexilant Advantage card info in correctly it was reduced to 130.00. My husband has insurance with caremark, but our out of pocket is still severe. The discount card is not working like it should in my opinion. It states with insurance it should only cost 20 copay. Haven’t seen that yet since the initial start of this prescription.

Sure would like a coupon that worked. We can’t afford this every month.

    Sincerely,

    Linda Croke
